Hi all, sorry, this is my first time on this forum. So, please excuse any mistakes... I just bought SimEFB and downloaded it from from Aerosoft shop. After extracting I tried to start the install process by double-click on the simEFBinstall.msi file. But instead of processing the installation there flashes a short note on the display and then install ends. No files or folders are being installed. I switched of virus protection but with no effect. Any ideas what goes wrong? Regards Andreas My system: WIN 10 2TB SSD i7 with 12GHz 32GB RAM Geforce RTX 3090TI

If the installation doesn’t work I’m not sure what to say as it is a standard windows installation. As you probably read on this forum usually it’s caused by a virus checker stopping at install. But you say you’ve turned the virus checker off. could try reboot. Else I would ask for a refund because I’m not sure what I can say about it really and I’m on holiday for two weeks so my connection is very difficult because I’m not in the office sorry

Hi Sam,
thanks for your reply. I found a workaround that allows installation on my flightsim PC: 1)start 'simEFBinstall.msi' install on a different PC until the first installation window is shown and waits for user input 2)leave install program open and search for the extracted .exe file in windows temp folder (it looks usually like this: '{DE68F8E8-DE0B-459E-A8FC-7EAC8BC76301}.exe'). Good idea is to check the date the file is created 3)copy this .exe file to the flightsim PC and start execution as admin via right-click and corresponding selection 4)cancel install on initial PC used under 1)
So, this procedure works fine for me.
No refund neccessary ;-)
Hope you will enjoy your vacation. Regards ANdreas

Hmm thats all a bit odd. The MSI is standard windows install I have used for many different projects over the past 7+ years The latest version is always at: sim-efb.com/dev/upgrade152626162 You could try that also.
