Hello, I followed the instructions how to add Little NavMap to Sim EFB panels. No problem there whatsoever, the instructions are very clear, so now I can open Little NavMap in any Sim EFB panel and it does show up. However, it never refreshes unless I click "reload map" manually, so the map and all the data associated with it remains frozen – even if I open it in the browser and tick "auto refresh" there. However, in MSFS itself, there is nothing I can click on the Sim EFB panel with Little NavMap to make it auto refresh. Of course, I don't have much use for a "moving" map that doesn't actually move, and having access to Little NavMap from the simulator in VR was my main reason for buying Sim EFB. So is there some way to fix this? I also tested this with the newest LNM release (Little Navmap 2.8.5.rc1), but the behaviour remains the same. On the other hand, if I use "VFR Map" (https://www.msfsaddons.org/freeware/plugin-vfrmap) and add its link (http://localhost:9000) to Sim EFB, it works and keeps updating/refreshing totally smoothly. Still, I'd much prefer using Little NavMap if at all possible. Thanks in advance for any assistance with this. P.S.: Using the same procedure as in the case of maps, I also tried linking to a html file with my personal cold start checklists that I'd uploaded on a server, and that works great as well, it's a really neat feature. I simply converted my Excel tables with the checklists to html and now I have access to it all in VR without breaking immersion to stare at another screen. One thing that keeps nagging at me, though: why can we only add two links? Would it be possible, perhaps, to make it so, in a future version of Sim EFB, that we could add multiple links, even if we can then only use three of them on the three panels? Because linking to multiple html files would sure come in handy – we could switch between more than two links then.
Best regards,
CptQuirk

Hmm that would be odd. If you publish to an external panel, does the map move?
If not press Ctrl+Shift+I which shows the debug console in chrome and many other browsers. Under the Console' tab do you have errors? I would suspect you do have some. But the page is generated by LNM so beyond my control. But let me know.
If it does work in the external panel, then I would suspect FS2020 has changed something which has stopped the rendering of the LNM page.
As for the link request. If you are generating you own page then you can put as many links in as you want. Will put on wish list though.,

Hey, thanks for replying! First of all, the multiple links thingy: of course, silly me, I've now uploaded a HTML file with a list of several further links to my server, so I can add as many links as I want to the list and reach them by first accessing that list through an ingame panel. Still, if you get around to maybe adding multiple links as a feature, that should certainly come in handy – especially for users who do not have access to an external server of their own. But on to the main problem.
If I publish Little NavMap to an external panel, it works normally – when you click "auto refresh" in the upper left corner, it keeps auto refreshing and therefore moving. This is how it looks:
However, when accessed ingame, through an ingame panel, it does not work, because it looks like this instead:
The problem is that in this case, nothing happens when you click "Manual Reload" above and you cannot click anything to make the map auto refresh. At least not that I can find it, maybe somebody else can enlighten me? The only way I can refresh the map is by manually clicking "reload map".
When I access LittleNavmap through my own custom "sublist" (the html file with further links I mentioned above), it doesn't work either, as the output is the same (as in the case of the second screenshot, i.e. no way to click anything to make it auto refresh or specify an auto refresh interval).
I can't believe I'm the only one with this problem – how would that be possible? I'm using the latest version of Sim EFB and the latest version of Little NavMap. Can anyone else confirm this behaviour?
Cheers

In that case FS2020 is not allowing/running the javascript to refresh the LittleNavmap map.

I see, then Little NavMap will no longer work properly in the ingame panels, I suppose... Ah, well, maybe you should confirm this and let people know, because I'm sure I'm not the only one who prefers using Little NavMap above all else. And Sim EFB DOES advertise as capable of displaying Little NavMap ingame in VR. Anyway, thanks a lot for your help and the info! Another thing... I've just found a good alternative, maybe someone else finds it useful as well. A very good map that outputs to http://localhost:8888 and works perfectly in the ingame panels can be found at github.com/grumpypixel/msfs2020-gopilotCheers!

Hi Sam, First of all, thank you for SIM-EFB and for your support. I have had it running for a little while now (since October) and I am very happy with it. I use it in VR mostly. I have seen the LNM squished window with red writing on the right side as other people have seen. This I believe is a LNM issue with the text layout as the problem happens if you make the panel too small to display the text across the top. After making the panel larger or going out and back into the panel it fixes itself.
I am having one issue with LNM updating. I can turn on auto refresh and it works, but there is a strobe like flash every second it updates. I get the flash even if I turn off auto refresh and do a manual (Now) refresh. Has anyone else seen this or has any idea ho to fix it so it seems smooth. The flash is very distracting and in VR very much causes a headache.
I am also one of the guys who would love to be able to see my Stream Deck configurator in a panel. Not to be able to program but just to see the current state of the buttons without lifting the VR headset.
Any ideas greatly appreciated.
I run a dedicated Computer for my MSFS 2020

Sim EFB has to work within the confines of MS FS2020 Web Kit, to display info, which is not a fully featured web browser, therefore Stream Deck configurator would probably never work. This also affects the rendering of LNM. Sorry

HI, Just got a chance to have a good look at this. It looks to me that LNM changed the MAP web page in the last year or so. As I said above, SIM EFB is displaying a Web page within MS FS2020 Web browser, which does not display things like a regular browser, so the LNM controls, which allow you to turn on update x seconds, are not rendered and hence no updates are happening. I suspect the old interface defaulted to update every x seconds, so we had no problem before. So I have edited their 'Legacy' page to update every 15 seconds, as we get a slight flash on the refresh. Anything less is enjoying, and options are 1,5,15,30,120, in the last few lines of the file. legacy.html should be coped over the one in the "Web" subdirectory of LNM. And if already running LNM web server should be restarted, and any SIM EFB panels should be closed and reopened if already open. The new file is listed at the bottom of: sim-efb.com/Instructions/Little-NavMapIf you like the fix please share this on social media. Thanks
