Hi, Loving SimEfb, really helps in VR enormously, thank you for developing. The only issue I seem to have is that when displaying the Littlenavmap webserver map. It starts off ok, then after some time (20 seconds - 2 minutes) it "squishes" the map into the left hand side of the Sim EFB window (2 or 3) I've tried every setting I can think of but cannot cure it. A refresh makes it occupy the whole screen again but then after some seconds it squishes it up again. Any idea?

Hmm I don't have any control over such a third party web page. Sorry

Got someone to do some extensive test on this fault. They could not recreate it

Hmm I don't have any control over such a third party web page. Sorry I've been seeing the same effect, when the map squashes to the left side there is red writing visible in the right hand side going under the map. Kev

Hi,
Thanks for looking into it, I thought you'd just dismissed it. It seems to be much more prevalent in VR mode (guaranteed to happen virtually every time) although it does happen in pancake too.
It seems to start with the menu from LNM (Map, Flight plan, progress etc) then when this top menu disappears it then happens, i.e. it seems to resize incorrectly. In pancake mode it often starts without this menu so the "resizing" thing doesn't happen. In pancake, although it starts ok resizing the Sim EFB page will normally cause it to move into the left hand side of the window.
It's a shame because its a really great feature if it didn't do this.
Regards and thanks to Kev for confirming.

Hi, I fly almost exclusively with the LNM map open in panel #2 and have not experienced this issue. I'm just wondering if perhaps there's something in your community folder that might be causing a conflict with the map rendering?
Also, does refreshing the panel itself (with the hidden refresh button on the top left) have any effect?
It sounds from your original post that clicking the "Here" or "Now" links in the map window solves the issue temporarily. Although not ideal, perhaps just setting the screen to auto-refresh every 10-15 seconds in the page itself may improve your experience?

I've tried it with community folder empty, it still happens. Do you fly in VR? As stated, refreshing centres the map again but only for a short while. Setting the map to auto update doesn't make any difference, only a reload centres the map again. It's unusable for me as is. Maybe it's something to do with my resolution or something as it seems to be a scaling type artifact. Obviously, opening the LNM map in a browser window (outside the sim) it works perfectly. Resizing the EFB window in the sim seems to confuse it as to how to recentre the map. Not sure what browser Sim-EFB picks up, could it depend on what default browser is installed?

Hi, yes, I fly almost exclusively in VR with the HP Reverb G2. I have the Steam version of MSFS2020. I use OpenXR with 70% render scale and 100% render scale in FS2020 display settings. Do you use OpenXR? If so I have you tried enabling or disabling motion reprojection?
Just spit balling ideas here to try and find commonalities and differences with our setups.

Sure, thanks for the efforts. I have the store version and I use the Reverb G2 too. I use open XR which has recently updated but it was the same on the previous version. I never use motion reprojection it gives artifacts for me on rotor blur etc.

What default browser do you have installed?

I'm on Edge. I've no idea if this affects anything but I'll give it a try. I can guarantee to get this to occur anytime I resize the window it seems. I must be doing something differently.

Ya, it's worth a shot. Good luck with it.

From what I understand of FS2020 the cockpit is implemented within some kind of web browser, and the SIM EFB panels are just part of that whole web page (if it can be called that). I would doubt it would be dependent on Edge, chrome or anything else, else FS2020 would have all sorts of problems.

Yes, you are right Sam, it made no difference. I'm struggling to figure out what to try to establish why this is an issue for some setups and not others.
